About this project
Light, bright and made for entertaining was the brief for this contemporary kitchen renovation.
The young family who live here wanted on-trend design combined with family practicality – a free flowing kitchen with everything at your fingertips (that could withstand little one’s fingerprints!)
A large island bench was a must for work and entertaining. The client also requested plenty of room for high end appliances, and easy access to the pantry (a must when hungry children are involved).
This led to an innovative feature in our design – a custom pivot door to the pantry which looks just as good open or closed. This bespoke addition was fully manufactured and installed by our team.
Let there be light
An expansive skylight welcomes in an abundance of light. This enhances the sleek white cabinetry and engineered-stone benchtops, which feature beautiful natural grain patterns. The warmth of the kitchen’s engineered timber floors provide a stunning contrast to the rest of the room’s light, bright colour palette.
The result is a contemporary, light-filled kitchen that the owners say is a joy to live and entertain in – a place where they can create lasting memories with family and friends.

Perfect Life Balance
About this project
The ultimate goal for this project was something most working families can relate to: a better work/life balance.
Our clients’ long term family home also incorporated their 7-day-a-week business, so they needed us to create an all-important feeling of separation between work and family life.
Top of the wish list: a stylish kitchen that would allow plenty of space for a growing family. They wanted a contemporary take on traditional Shaker style cabinetry. And they asked us to incorporate a separate but connected study nook to keep the family together when working, studying or relaxing.
Colour, texture and millimetre-perfect precision
The kitchen features Shaker style doors finished in 2pac paint, topped with engineered stone benchtops with beautiful natural grain patterns. V groove panelling creates interest, texture and a timeless look. As with all our joinery, the panelling was crafted in-house where we can ensure a millimetre-perfect finish.
Beyond the practicalities, colour selection was an important way to create a sense of harmony for this busy family. The timber flooring perfectly complements the joinery colours.
Given the homeowners were juggling the demands of running a business seven days a week, it was important to help them feel comfortable and confident about the process and end result.
They say this renovation has brought them ‘overwhelming happiness’ and helped them enjoy both their work and family environments. Perhaps that elusive work life balance is possible after all?

A Family Starter
About the project
The goal of this young family’s kitchen renovation was to create an enjoyable, visually pleasing space – and we’re proud to say it delivered on all fronts.
The on-trend design hit the mark for our client who understood and appreciated good design and quality finishes. It was a pleasure to collaborate with her to create a kitchen that was a natural fit with the rest of this beautiful home.
Stylish, stress-free family living
The kitchen and pantry had only a small footprint to work with. Our challenge was to deliver a design that used the space wisely and packed a visual punch.
The homeowner’s vision was for a Shaker style kitchen with a slightly contemporary feel. First popularised in the late 1700s, Shaker kitchens have enduring appeal due to their elegance, simplicity and versatility. While the look remains quite traditional, advances in technology have transformed the variety of colours and finishes available, allowing for a truly custom feel.
The engineered stone benchtops were an ideal choice for this young family. Easy to clean and maintain, the stone’s non-porous surface resists stains and makes wiping up spills a breeze. The result is a beautiful, low-maintenance kitchen that can stand up to robust family life.
Classy, but at the same time warm and homely – it’s provided this family with the perfect foundation for a lifetime of memories.

A Traditional Dream
About the project
If there’s one thing we’re passionate about, it’s attention to detail. So when the owners of this red brick homestead said they wanted every detail of their joinery to be carefully thought through, we knew it was a perfect match.
Our clients wanted their new-look kitchen to respect the homestead’s era, with joinery that showcased its history. We brought that vision to life with a traditional, intricate-style kitchen that feels right at home in this much-loved property.
The kitchen they’d dreamed of
Bursting with colour and personality, this happy kitchen renovation was a long-held dream for our hardworking clients. It was an honour to help them realise that dream, with a kitchen that reflects the passion and strength of the people living in it.
We invested considerable time in perfecting every element of this design. The intricate detail that makes this joinery so special was crafted completely in-house in our LA Smith studio and is a testament to the skills of our expert team. Detail like this takes a skilled specialist. We were thrilled to lend our craftsmanship to a project that meant so much to our clients.
With its bold granite benchtops and vibrant golden colour scheme, this is a unique kitchen that captures the identity of its owners. It’s a space that unashamedly reflects who they are and what they value in life.
